Nursing Homes and rehabilitation centers in New York Metropolitan Area provide room and board, personal care, protection supervision and medical care. Nursing homes are licensed and regulated by the State of New York Department of Public Health and can be individually certified by the State for Medicare and Medicaid. New York Metropolitan Area facilities accept a variety of payment options: Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private funds. Three levels of care are provided:
