About Thrive Memory Care at East Cobb
We’ve taken the blueprint for traditional memory care and put it right where it belongs—the trash can. It wasn’t hard. Traditional memory care communities stink. There’s no getting around that.
What do we do? At Thrive Memory Care at East Cobb, we start with a deep-rooted belief that if there is breath in a person’s lungs, their life has tremendous value. We have built a team that aligns on that belief. We believe all people should be viewed through the lens of what they can do rather than what they cannot. And this team, they are really good at it.
You have to meet our people. Imagine a combination of the quick wit of Jerry Lewis, the people skills of Clark Gable and the patience of Ghandi, and you have the personas of our people. We are dedicated to giving meaning and purpose to this season of your Elder’s life. How? We see each person as a unique individual with a life that is rich with history and stories, rather than just an object in need of care. Our residents call us “the kings of hugs and handshakes”. All this is done with the singular goal of each person feeling known and befriended. And don’t forget that the dining experience would stir the applause of Wolfgang Puck.
Our team members are NIDE (National Institute for Dementia Education) trained and certified, which is a mouthful to say, but simply means that our team members are prepared and qualified to interact with your loved one as a unique human being, not a case study. Our community is the perfect size with only 25 residents. It feels more like home and less like a hotel. We are located on Paper Mill Road just off of Johnson Ferry. Just behind the Starbucks. Every detail of the community was purpose-built to maximize freedom and creativity.
