Glenwood Place opened in July, 2000 with 39 apartments. In 2007 the community was expanded with an additional 9 apartments to meet the needs of the Marshalltown and surrounding areas we serve. Glenwood Place's 46 apartments also include 10 Closer Care apartments for residents with an Alzheimer's or a dementia diagnosis in a secured and safe environment.
In September of 2009 Glenwood Place completed an expansion to our dining room in order to enhance the restaurant style dining experience for each of our residents and guests. It features two fireplaces and a warm, relaxing environment for all to enjoy, while providing a spacious, comfortable area to entertain family and friends.

Glenwood Place Assisted Living provides dementia specific service options for individuals diagnosed with dementia and/or Alzheimer's disease who may need further assistance with daily living.
The Gardens community provides dedicated staff 24 hours a day to meet the individualized needs of each resident. This is a secure program with meaningful life enrichment activities of daily living geared toward each individual resident's abilities. This program also provides a private, enclosed courtyard for outdoor activities.
n addition to all of the basic Assisted Living amenities, The Gardens residents receive security, coaching, reminders, close supervision, and monitoring. The focus is on maintaining everyday living skills, while providing a safe and secure environment.
Services are developed and planned individually included in the all-inclusive rate.
