Formerly known as Windmill Pointe and Hawthorne Inn, Brown Deer Place is excited to announce the many changes that have already begun taking place at our vibrant community. Now under the direction of Senior Housing Management, an established Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care organization based in Cedar Rapids, IA, Brown Deer Place will soon see some much needed improvements! The most noticeable of the many changes we will be making is the two million dollar facelift to the property by working with Merit Construction and a team of local subcontractors. The facelift will include adding a new sprinkler system and a new wireless emergency call system, as well as replacing exterior doors and windows, new carpeting, and a fresh coat of paint. These updates are scheduled to be completed by July of 2016!

Brown Deer Place was built in 1987 with an addition completed in 2002. With this next round of construction updates, the building will feature Independent Living studio, one bedroom and two bedroom apartments, as well as Memory Care studios. Not only is this community ideal for individuals, but it also caters to spouse caregivers.
